Default 07 Softail pipes

I have looked at V&H, Kerker, Rush, and Rinehart. It seems like the pipes they have are all for pre '07 models.

Where does one find pipes for a new model bike? I could go to the Harley shop I guess, but I would hate for that to be my only choice.

bought a set of v&H true duels for my 07 springer off of ebay for about 200 bones less than the dealer. They get delivered tomorrow. I will let ya know if they are "brand new in the box" when I get them. Seller had a 98.7% positive with 30k sells and a ton of parts. Cant see paying $675 when $465 is knocking.

Well I found some Vance and Hines shortshots staggered that say they fit the '07 softail. I found them on Partsdirect.com and they are pretty inexpensive.

Does anyone know anything about these? Are they cheap (low quality)? Is partsdirect.com a decent site to buy from?

What are you looking for; loud, 'ole school" HD sound, performance??
If you want loud, V&H, tone-Rush, performance then you are gonna need more than pipes.
I bought the SE slashdowns and hated the sound. I also purchased the A/C and the Stage 1 download. Hated the pipes so much that I gutted them; meaning, I took everything out of them, baffles, insulation, etc. SOUNDED great!! Loud as hell. Wife couldn't stand them. Bought the Rush SOs and they are a good compomise for trips and such. I kept the SEs and change them out for certain bike nights. Still ove the LOUD stuff!!

I've noticed that Vance and Hines doesn't have but half the selection for '07 bikes as they do for pre-'07, but they do have some available. Have you checked Samson out?

I'm wanting the bike to be loud. WHen I pull up to a red light, I can barely hear what's on there now. I don't really want to go all out and put headers on it or anything super involved. My budget is less than $500 and want to get them as loud as possible for that.

I have not looked at Samsom yet.
