Well the meet and greet went pretty smooth today. A bunch of us met at LA Harley at 1030- I would list all the forum names but I cannot remember them. At about 1100 we pulled out in a train of about 12 bikes headed west to I-10, with Primo leading the way,where we met up with Scooter Girl, Anubuss and a few others. After meeting everyone and spending about 30 minutes at an ARCO gas station we pulled out again with Anubuss and Scooter girl in front. We made our way to PCH then motored up to Neptune's Net.The weather was perfect- no clouds, upper 70s and plenty of bikes on the road.Neptune's was packed; no parking in the lot so we all scrambled to find space on PCH. Lots of eye candy for the guys and plenty of good looking women too.

Once everyone was situated we gathered up on the hill where we found Rhubarb, Blurose, LRon Hoover, and several others. Blurose snapped pictures, and several of us had our picture taken with Scootergirl - she is as cute in person as she is on the computer. Blurose isa looker too!Thumbs up to Rhubarb for making the run from the east bay area (northern california). It is about 300+ miles.

We thought the gremlins were out to get us though. As we left LA HD and got on the freeway, some dude in a beat to crap car lost a tie rod and tire in front of us. The debris hit 2 riders no injuries though. As we left the Arco station in Santa Monica some gal ran a red light as we preparing to make a left turn.

All in all a great day. Lots of nice folks and I am sure we will do this again. No doubt photos will follow.

Okay, I'll say it. LOL I think it would have been a little better if everyone could have let go of the need to be super cool and just put on the damn name tags!! Those that did, I said hi to and it was great meeting you all. Thanks to Anubiss and scootergirl for your contributions. Let's not wait so long for the next one. Hey Andrew.....nice phone, bro!

 

Hopefully you'll have some more meet n greets like this in the summer, when I'm planning a weekend trip from Phx to SoCal for example....

 

Gamma742, Bob,it was nice meeting you and your wife. It was nice to see San Diego being represented. Regarding the name tags, I am guilty as charged, but I tried to introduce myself to everyone. Besides I don't get a chance to be cool very often. Maybe next time.

 

After Neptunes, I ended up leading a pack of 12 riders out to get gas, then up Mullholland, twisting and turning all the way to the Rock Store. we stopped there for a little while, and then went all the way down to Sagebrush Cantina, where i think it is safe to say we were all kind of suprised with what we saw there...

i know i for one, will definitely go there again!
we lost a few riders when we turned to go there, so i hope everyone made it home safely.

It was nice meeting you all today, and seeing those whom i have met before once again.
I hope those that followed me after Neptunes had an enjoyable time on that leg of the journey. See you all sometime soon when i host one of my rides again in a few months.

 

Okay I'll bite, what happened at Sagebrush Cantina? Warlock it was nice meeting you, I'll keep an eye for your tour of the twisities ride.

 

Yeah, what did I miss? I am no longer super cool as I previously thought as I am sure there must be some pics of me with a nametag on... I will be posting more pics. the forum is moving rrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaallllllyyyyyyyyy slowwwwwwwwww....It was a pleasure to meet you all, and I am sorry I missed out on the rockstore part of the journey.

 

It was reall a fun time.

Hubby and I escorted Rhubarb about 1/2 way to the 5 and headed for home just after 3. Rhubarb has a long hard ride so everyone be thinking about him...so he has a safe ride home.
