IF the frame is an '84, then someone put an evo engine in an originally ironhead bike. Check the vin numbers on the frame and on the engine case. Do they match?
You can find out exactly what you have by running the vin numbers. Do a search on here to find the breakdown and meaning of vin numbers.

Look to see if the frame has been modded around the rear rocker box.
Conventional wisdom is that an Evo motor will not fit into an Ironhead frame due to clearance issues in that area.
Check your frame number to see what year it is as well as the engine no.
Primary cover and gear shift shaft position are not Ironhead.
Cylinder base platforms on the left case do not look Ironhead, They appear to match the shape of the Evo top end.

There were no EVO Sporty's untill late 85. I had an 84 Iron Head that still had a generator. The late 84's along with early 85's had alternators. Iron Heads had the cyl. bolted on the case at the bottom of the cyl., and had solid adjustable lifters. Cylinders and heads were iron instead of alloy. Iron Head exhaust pipes clamped to the stub on the head and EVO pipes bolt on.

It looks like a 86-early87. Look at the top motor mount between the heads. It should have 2 bolts running horizontal thru the frame bracket. The iron head used one bolt running vertical.
