5 dead in Pa.

According to our local paper, the SUV was on the wrong side of roadway when they hit the motorcycles. I live in Frederick County, Maryland...we have a lot of nice roads to ride around here including some mountain roads. People still text and drive and drive way too fast for our roads. Just a block from me, a lady ran over a 70 year old man on a scooter (in town), she was charged with failure to yield right of way to the man. This was during the day, haven't heard if she was driving distracted (the new term for not paying attention). Ride safe everyone.

Damn, there's a pic of the stretch of road marked where the five lost their lives.
There is not one GD reason for this to happen. It was a straight patch, no corner where someone would drift across the center line. the pic shows a double yellow line. Unbelievable. The driver lives as usual and the others .......

That's awful... I used to date a girl who lived in PA, so I was up near the MD/PA line often. Wonder where this was.
And I noticed they didn't give any details. Wondering if the SUV drifted into the oncoming lane. I doubt 2 motorcycles both would have somehow drifted into oncoming traffic. Sad, no matter how it happened.

Really sad.. Prayers to all family's involed.
Yes, the follow up news reported the Van crossed the center line for unknown reasons, hit one bike head on, causing it to slide sideways then the other bike T-boned into the side of the Van.
