Personal trama kit

Personal trama kit
How many of yall carry a trauma kit for personal use when riding? There are alot of options out there and I have been on the fence on getting one but after my recent crash I have decided to pick one up, although I wouldnt have been able to use it on myself on my accident but the good Samaritans that gave me care before the first responders arrived could have used it. The kit would be basic with quick clog and stuff mainly for controlling bleeding. Figuring I carried one with me and I got in (god forbid) another crash whats the easiest way to let someone who comes to my aid know that I have one on my person when Im unconscious?

I don't but not because I don't want one...I only have a swing arm saddle bag. I have thought about getting a flare, if I ever break down. But getting a trama kit is a good idea.

Not many would know you had it, or know how to use it if you were that incapacitated. And
if you were that incapacitated, would you want someone who didn't know what they were doing, doing it on you?

Yes, I have a small one in the saddle bag. From past experience I can till you that having some of the large 4" by 4" bandages are very useful.

I have a small kit, similar to what we carried on our ops, back in ARSOC days. Mostly things to stop bleeding, some pressure dressings, triangular bandages, clotting powder and a couple of feminine hygiene articles (a pad and a couple of tampons). Great wound fillers.
You could get a red cross decal to put on your bag (first aid inside), or carry a tag on you. My brothers know it's there, and many carry similar kits.
Someone asked if I'd want someone working on me who may not know the best way to do it: the answer is YES. If I had arterial blood spurting 2 feet in the air, I'd rather have someone try to keep me from bleeding out than to lie there and die for lack of someone trying.

Judgement call,
I guess if you ride with others this might work for you.
I ride alone, By choice. So it probably wouldn't help me. Also what you've described is just a well stocked first aid kit. I had envisions a "trauma" kit. Like WE use to carry.
