The only I have heard of that would cause that is the oil being overfull. Maybe others might have other ideas. Good luck

This is what I've heard too. And more than a few times.

Angry background to oil pouring out of breathers

this is how it all started. my wife pissed me off and I jumped on my bike and red lined the f#*k out of it in first gear then shifted to second while accelerating, this didn't do it for me so I down shifted back to first while accelerating even more. when I got to the end of the street and stopped at the light the bike was vibrating pretty bad. I knew I f#*ked something up but it still ran o.k. other than the vibration. I rode bike that way for a week be fore one morning on the way to work the vibration got really bad, was loosing power , knocking like crazy and oil was leaking out of air cleaner.I was advised by a mechanic that I probably broke cam chain tensioners. Since there are 108 thousand miles on bike that seemed to make sense. I disassembled and pulled cam plate and sure enough the inside tensioner had completely come apart and pieces were everywhere. (the outside tensioner was worn but not broken) I changed both.i pulled oil pump from plate and didn't see any debris so I reinstalled. Reassembled and started and tons of oil was pouring out of rear cylinder breather, not so much the front cylinder breather but still a lot. mechanic said I simply misaligned the oil pump but there must be more to it than that. Im thinking maybe I blew the piston rings and that's how the oil is coming up. How would I know without pulling head completely apart. Is it possible there is just debris in pump that I didn't notice. would that cause this. It also seemed to still be vibrating when I started it but didn't run it very long so Im not sure. Could I have bent a connecting rod just enough to cause vibration and caused the rings to be messed up. im going to pull out pump again and inspect more carefully. what else can I do .

i have a 2002 heritage classic 88" with 26,000 miles. yesterday i took it in to have base gaskets done.

a while back i complained about oil coming threw the air cleaner after a hard ride. they told me my a/c was pluged and to clean it and run it dry. so i do this and it still happens, i rerouted the breathers out of the intake and no more problems.

now back to the base gaskets. i went back last night to pick it up and its not done. this is the list of things that caused my oil in the intake, bad valve seals, scorched pistons/cylinders and rings shot.

from my experience i would be willing to bet your rings at least are toast.

i just wish i could get the stealer to find my lower engine noise, i have a slight rattle/knock on the left side of the case. they say its my shift rod rattleing against the case cover but i know its internal.

Did you align the oil pump when you reinstalled the cam plate? You need 2 of the old Shovel lifter stool alignment screws, I got these pictures form the JIM's site

Pi$$ed at your wife? I guess you showed her. You might check the push rods. Missed a shift with a 56 Triumph years ago and bent one. I remember a lot of vibration.

Fastest and easiest is do a compression check of both cylinders.

Yup I was just going to post that.

Do a compression check and verify that the COLD oil level is not above 1/3 of the height between the low and full lines on your dipstick.
