Don't worry about the displacement, just ride it...

You have to factor in Pi ( 3.14 ) or use a calculator that factors it in automatically. 103' engine ...3.88 * 4.38 = 16.99 * 2 = 33.98 * 3.14 = 106.72 ... At least that's the way I remember doing it.
Yeh, I knew that. I was only trying to say physical measurement of the diameter and stroke was necessary. I mixed in bad wording which gave it up as an incorrect mathematical equation. Sorry to confuse...

One of the most hilarious messages on this very forum lately. You made my day, thanks!

I'd tell everyone it's an 88" just to **** em off.

If it already runs strong, don`t mess with it. "If it ain`t broke don`t fix it".

Actually the formula he used isn't quite correct, it's actually Pi R*2 (which is the formula for the area of a circle, Pi times the Radius squared) times the stoke. This works out to be the area times the distance = volume (for 1 cylinder).
The answer using the corrected formula = 103.52 cu. inches total for 2 cylinders (using the bore and stroke he used).
