Anyone wearing this jacket?
Leatherup sale has this one looking pretty good for winter riding.

I ride down into the mid twenties here and am looking for something a little warmer than my current street jacket.

Although not the same one, but I have an Xelement jacket it it does just fine. I don't wear it much because it is heavy and I live in the South as well, but the durability has been good so far.

Thanks. Good feedback. I've always wondered about the wear of the true motorcycle style jackets. Never bought one. One of my friends has a heavy jacket and I thought it was a little too much weight wise, even for around here. Only a handful of the days here are in the mid twenties range.

Can't say anything about the jacket but I have an Xelement vest that is just what I was looking for, something to conceal my weapons and the price was right. Also have a pair of their chaps that I have had to replace the belt as it was pretty low quality. I guess it is a crap shoot.

I think my boots were made by Xelement. I got them for an indie shop, so I'm not 100% sure but they're good boots...or they seem to be.

From the add on the link you posted, no...no one is wearing that coat.
But seriously, for that amount you are not going to get a quality leather riding jacket. That's just the way it is. Good leather will cost you. Now, if you are asking if it will be good enough for winters were you are, I really don't know for sure. I will give you my opinion though, and that is, if you get temperatures below 60*-65*, I would look at something else. Spend a little more on something that will last longer and protect you better. You really do get what you pay for.

You'll freeze your *** off in any leather jacket below 65 degrees. It's what's underneath the leather that keeps you warm. Leather just breaks the wind. Shoddy seams and crappy zippers let the cold wind through. Heavy leather protects better when you take a spill. It won't necessarily keep you warmer. Vents are nice and expand the warmer weather usefulness , but they're also potential wind leaks when you're trying to stay warm. However, I can't speak of the quality of the jacket you posted either way. It looks cool as hell, though.
Just my $.02.
