A Sunday rip with Dickey
Well, between work, bands, the GF,the move to the country, and the most rain I have seen in a summer since moving to Florida, I haven't gotten to ride as much as I woulda liked this summer. In fact, since moving last April 25, I don't think I put 100 miles on the muhfuh.
So, I woke today to an absolutely spectacular morning--temps close to 90, sunny, & very dry. I decided to finally go for a rip in my area & do some sightseeing. Started in Aripeka, rode along the Gulf to hernando Beach, then on to Weeki-Watchee (remember the mermaids?) up towards Homosassa, then back down to home again. Bike ran like a raped ape with a bent banana; Haven't really gotten the chance to do a proper rip since the race tune in April. The scenery was great, I love these little "old world" style Florida towns that are stuck in time.
Pics are from Aripeka, Hernando Beach & Weeki-Watchee. The one with the horses are right down the road from my house. Enjoy!
