Softail Sturgis model??
Just few moments ago, I was reading a report on a local media website about the visit to the Harley Davidson Archives at the Museum in Milwaukee...
One of the pictures called my attention....as I've never seen such model.
it's actually a Softail Custom with shotgun pipes (opposed to the shorty-dual that was standard on that model)....with its paint job and seat insert of the Sturgis model.
We all know that in 1991 there was a Sturgis model and it was a Dyna Glide model.
Anyone knows any story behind this??
The picture is attached....

sure...here's the link to the original report....this' written in brazilian portuguese and the text doesn't say a thing about the motorcycle itself (brazilian media is poorly educated when it comes to HD motorcycles)....

That looks like a raffle bike made just for sturgis to me, but the only real sturgis bike was a 81-82 Dyna Low rider. The First bike with a belt I believe.

dyna models didn't come out until 90 or 91.
This Softtail Sturgis...gotta be a "one of a kind" build from a dealer or some Indy....or an experimental factory model...is my guess.

Both the Drive and the Primary were Belt Drive on the Sturgis.
