If The MOCO Hired You To Design A New Bike...

I know what would probably sell good and look good. A factory custom chopper, but one that's not out of this world as far as price is concerned. Keep it simple, elegant, and at a budget price that people could work with. A $13,000-$15,000 Softail with the lifted tank, raked forks, and the bare necessities.

Honda just did that, and personally, I feel that "choppers" from the factory are like buying pre ripped up jeans, it just feels like a poser move to me (no offense!). However, I think the new Honda is actually a *beautiful* bike in person. I saw one down in TN not that long ago and it was getting a LOT of looks and had a whole gathering of harley guys trying to figure out who made it.

lulz. People complain about how Japanese bikes feel like they are riding a sewing machine then go buy a sewing machine that costs twice as much and doesn't have the performance of the other sewing machines. I guess some people just love the 'heritage' but I'd rather Harley toss it and keep pushing for uniqueness and interesting rides. Harley is built on heritage and that includes some of the mechanicals. To me, the softtail B motor is a cop-out.
