If The MOCO Hired You To Design A New Bike...

I agree.

Id like a classic FL style bike based on the current touring platform.... Basically a road king that looks good without bags... Something that looks like a shovelhead Fl.... Maybe with a springer front end option would be cool too.
Also what would prevent Harley from bringing back the FXR? Or putting out a limited production rigid?
My last wish is that when (not if) they bring back the Road Glide it has the V-Rod motor.... Forget the half-assed, ill conceived water cooling they've stuck on the 2014s.... Just go all in already and give us the vrod engine in a traditional looking bike

A superglide with an 80 cu in. With a 6 speed. Enough power without sitting on top of an oven.
Put on a fatter front tire.
Front and rear tire symmetrical as the old bikes.
Floorboards.
The three things above without changing clearance and lean angles.
Directional's where they belong so they do not have to be moved to fit saddle bags.
Fog lights that are full sized, not the reduced sized ones they only offer for the superglide.
Cast wheels standard so we have tubeless tires.
Chain replacing the belt.
Improve quality of design and using better parts instead of cheap Chinese bearings.
And a light, affordable,300 lbs, entry level 500 vtwin bike.

popawcritter - Still makes no sense. Big or little are connotative words which mean different things to different folks.
74 cubes = 74 cubes. The 1200 Evo2 Sportster motor is the most advanced 74 cu. in motor HD made. It is close to bullet proof perfection.
Did you really mean 74 cube Pan, Shovel, Knuckle or something like that?

I just want cruise control on Dynas and Softails, so that I could even consider buying those bikes! I will not buy a bike that doesn't have CC. Just me, I guess. Harley doesn't seem to think it is important.

Here, for reference take a look at the engine kits from S&S
You'll notice on the first page it is kits for "Big Twins"
http://www.sscycle.com/product/Evolu...gine-Kits-c20/
Now for Sportster Kits there is no mention of Big Twin.

Has nothing to do with being an Evo either, here is a link for 1936-1984 Big Twin parts as well.No Sportster parts there either.

(1) I would like to see a Road king that does not
look like **** with out the saddle bags.
(2) I would like to see a switchback with a fat boy
front end and cruse control, with a 113 ci.
