If The MOCO Hired You To Design A New Bike...

2 bikes I would introduce into the portfolio.
first bike would be a bike like the ducati street fighter
Use the Vrod engine and make a bike for people over 190m and 110kg
foot pegs are under you and not in front of you
make the bike agile
Second Bike would be a bike to compete against the the BMW GS1200
I love touring and going down gravel and forestry roads. cant to that with a Harley
These two bikes are what are missing in the harley lineup.
A lot of younger bikers are wanting more adventure in a bike. Getting an old man`s bike (all harleys except for dyna, vrod and sportsters)can happen when you have reached 45 and you want to cruise.
this is why i find it unfortunate that I have to own 2 bikes. one to cruise with my Biker buddies and plod along on boring long straight roads then when we get to bends in the mountain not having to fight with the bike to have fun.
yes harley has the dyna, vrod and sportster but the dyna and sportster is made for people between 3ft and 5ft5 unless you want to look like you are riding a minimoto.
Vrods are OK for speed and is the nearest thing to the streetfighter but too long and the rake doesn't make it handle well

I like many of the ideas in this thread. Fozzy's idea of putting the Vrod engine in a Sporty type frame is something I have wondered about for a long time. I can not wait until to see what people do with those new Street bikes.
