I see blacked out bikes as trying to look tough guy statement. See how opinions differ?

I've got about 6 more chrome items to put on my bike, including chroming the swing arm, a chrome RC rear pulley, and polished stainless rear brake disc, then she's done. I'm doing those items because now they are highly visible with the stock exhaust removed.

Here is my bike as she sits now. The swingarm and the rest will be done right before everyone else turns their bikes in for the winter lay-up-

Now I think that's a beauty, and very tastefully done.

Exactly. They differ and that's why there are choices.

P.S. Blacked out bikes are doing the same thing whether you admit it or not.

Lots of fads come and go, but chrome is classic.

I like it! A Harley is a great canvas for chrome, every one I ever owned got dolled up,and not because I wanted some assclown to "notice me". But because I like 'em that way. Just sold the Softail, but the Road King is on it's way to getting the right amount of hardmetal added on.

Exactly, when I walk by a blacked out or dull coat paint job, I always say why would anyone do such a thing to a great looking bike?

I would just like to stand up and applaud you for getting the spelling of the word "too" correct in the title of your post. You might be an anomaly around here.......
