How do I make a newer (2000) Harley look older (1960's)?

We're going to paint the bottom half of the tank white and change out the emblems, add spokes wheels- (I just don't know about whitewalls though), plus I just landed an old white buddy seat. I really like the look of the old slim chrome shocks so I need to look into those but I'd hate to loose the nice ride quality of these current air shocks it has.
That guys bike fro Australia is a real good example of what I'd like to do, he did a wonderful job with it!

After taking the shield and bags off my FLD I get asked all the time what year it is. I have even had someone tell me it was a beautiful restoration. I don't know much about older Harleys as I only just got into Harleys within the past 5 years or so but I guess it does look a lot like the older bikes. It would look even more so with some wire spokes and whitewalls like the gentlemen in the above link did. I've been told the big chrome single headlight is what really makes it look like the older Harleys.

this is probably the coolest bike I've seen in awhile - you could always mimic it

It looks like David the Gnome has those same looking shocks.
This one looks really good too, found on Shotgun's site:
