I've that Big City Thunder Monster baffles have a deep, throaty tone to them. Cheaper to change out the baffles than the entire exhaust.

Cheers!

... going on your title I was going to suggest copious amounts of curried kidney beans & cabbage and not taking any passengers without first taking the sensible precautions of equipping them with an air tank .....

I started off with no baffles in my Samson II, Rip Saws. The exhaust was very loud and a bit too crisp/raspy sounding. I read about the Thunder City baffles and also how to make your own set on the permanent section of the "Exhaust" forum. I made up a set of lollipops, first and installed them. It made a noticeable difference in the sound tone. It gave it a deeper less crisp sound, which was more pleasant to my ear. It also seemed a tad quieter, but it was probably just the different deeper tone.
I than went to Khrome Werks drag pipe baffles and took the lollipops out. The Khrome Werks baffles are pretty minimal. They are all metal and only 9" long. They quieted the exhaust some but not enough for my liking. After a few months, I put the lollipops back in, with the drag pipe baffles and like that setup the best.
Is there anyway you can add lollipops to your present system? They cost hardly anything to make.

To get Quality and Sound, there's only 2.........Bub Rineharts or Bub Jughuggers. Same sound, but I prefer the Jughuggers, just because I like the billet ends better.

For the "deep throaty" exhaust I went with the Linda Lovelace slip-ons.
Don't you mean the Linda Lovelace slip in's? [:-]

You could try that or adding some testosterone to the tank

I'm running V&H's on mine without the baffles in. Are they worth buying and putting in? After 100 mi. or so I get a little tired of the sound.

The longer the pipe the more bassy boomy tone your going to get. Short pipes will have more of a raspy tone.
