Sure glad it wasn't worse. The bike looks to be an easy fix, I hope your injuries are minor.

Default Don't stare!

For what it's worth, my father was a WWII fighter ace, P47/P51. When I was a kid he would take me up in a Cessna. One main thing he taught me was scanning, constantly moving your eyes from side to side slowly. Your periphial vision doesn't handle movement well, so you cover a field of view by rotating your eyes and looking for movement that way.

Unfortunately, getting the general driving public to learn this skill is improbable. You're not scanning if you're texting.

People make sure u have insurance and a helmits not a bad idea.
There SHOULD be a law. Cause a wreck because of your self-obsessed negligence, the victim gets to beat the $hit out of you. Glad you lived to ride another day!

Glad your ok. I see people texting everyday. I have stock pipes and I'm thinking I need to switch to something loud. Not to be Harley badass, just so I can blip the throttle needlessly (obnoxiously)and get the texters attention in traffic.

I also believe that the penalties associated with the use of electronic devices while driving should mirror the DWI / DUI penalties. I think the insurance lobbyists will probably get their way with this in quite a few states at one point.

Sue their a$$...get the hospital biils, bike repairs, pain and suffering, mental trauma, etc...

Go after the insurance company...deepest pockets.
