Default VANCE & HINES FUEL PAK - FEEDBACK

Seems this alternative to SERT, PCIII, is the proverbial ugly sister. Any comments on those who have tried it?
My plans are V&H Ovals (factory headers)and Big Sucker on a 2007 Ultra and that's it.
Thanks.

Used the V&H Fuelpak, V&H turndowns, Big Sucker on my '06. Lost a little something at the top end, so I called the tech department and after plugging in new numbers, it worked like a champ.

I'd also be interested in hearing from anyone using the Fuelpak on an '07, although I'm kinda leaning toward the SERT.

I've installed a used V&H fuel pac. Took a wild stab at 106 for the number. Called the tech help desk. They were absolutly not impressed that I was not using their pipes too, and that it was a used unit. But, it really does not run to bad. I don't have the poping on decel or back firing. Only on a rare ocaision, still no corrolation to anything yet. So I have to say that it does work even with stuff they don't recommend or say that they support. I'll keep mine in place until I crack open the motor for upgrades next winter. Then its back on the shelf.

Have one on my 07 and also used it on my 06 and it works fine.
They Dyno tune your model of bike to your pipes so it is a good
setup. Simple to setup and use, but, if you like to experiment and
fine tuning is your thing then you may want an more complex setup.
Not sure why you would call it an "ugly sister".

Have the Fuel Pak and BSS pipes. Had the HD 95" kit done to it and the tuner had a heck of a time finding a good setting. V&H does not have settings for my setup and would not help out any so he used another setting from another type of bike close to mine. It backfires some and stumbles on acceleration some. I am going with the SERT here soon...

Had it, worked good, ditched it for PCIII because it doesn't allow for anything like cams, etc.

So for a bike with just pipes and an intake seems like it may work for you, Johnny C.

Let us know what you do and your impressions.

I put the Fuel Pak and Pro Pipe ( plus Ness Sucker) on my 05 RK last year. I loved it but my wife said No...too loud and the concussions on the rear seat were too much for her. Plus, I didn't tell her I was doing it....... Off they came after 300 miles. On went Rhines true dual and term velocity, which she knew about and said ok....I learn, I'm just slow!!

It's super easy to install. It's back in the original box with all the details. I'll probably sell them for half of what I got them for if you have any interest. If ya just want the FuelPak to try, I'll send it for you..... (I figure 98% of the guys on the forum are upstanding guys). Lemme know and I'll check what I gave for it...

Respect to all.......

I'm running V&H sideshots, K&N, and fuel mgmt. Easy install, cleard directions and good support. Bike runs great but check engine light is on. I need to check my settings again.
