Default Formula+ MSDS

This is not intended to be another oil thread, don't intend to debate one lubricant over another, just looking for a document(!)

Does anyone have a link to the MSDS for Formula+? I've searched on the 'net without success; HarleyDavidson.com doesn't even show it(?) Asked for the MSDS at the local dealer's parts counter, guy said they didn't have one.

U'll hard pressed to get one, even if U did It prob wouldn't be a full disclosure one. Which is was U need to compare..

Still Ud have to get one also from the others to cross ref it.

found this post from another forum by one who is pretty sharp on his oils. this was posted back in 06.

"What I was told by the lab at Amsoil on the formula+ product is that it is basically a 50 weight mineral oil with some anti-wear and a small amount of extreme pressure additives in it, as well as some of the other basic additives like anti-foaming and rust inhibitors and etc. Looks like a very cheap product to manufacture.

Just keep in mind that document is from 2005
It may or may not be the same content as what they sell today.

It would more accurate to find something that wasn't so old.

I'm still trying to figure out the "no surprises " as in there is no info in it

A MSDS gives information on hazards and safe handling of a chemical. It is not intended to tell how to make your own. This document has everything that the law requires it to have.

Also if the seller will not give you a copy of the MSDS they are in violation of federal law.
