So reading through the paperwork I got with my bike I am unclear on something with the 5 year ESP I purchased. Does the Harley warranty cover the first 2 years then the ESP kicks in? Or is the ESP in effect from day 1? Just curious if something went wrong that was a warranty fix within the first 2 years then no deductible since its from Harley?

I'm sure its in the docs somewhere just can't find it.

 

A 5 year warranty extends 3 years after the first two are over. If you got the wheel and tire coverage, that starts right away and expires three years after the original one expires.

 

to add to what cdestuck said, yes, the first 2 years are factory warranty and no deductible would apply. however, with the esp you also get rental reimbursement, towing and lodging reimbursement. those do kick in immediately.

 

The first 2 years are factory, the ESP covers after that...so 5 years is 2 factory + 3 ESP

Not sure what you guys bought, but mine is 5 years AFTER the factory 2-year expires, for a total of 7. And that is verified on the warranty card I have.
