Default Perfect color match paint.

I took a leap and decided to rattle can paint my new fender myself after getting a YouTube doctorates degree in auto paint. Since my paint has pearl and metal flake in it, I was fully prepared for it to be a slightly different shade and possibly needing excessive wetsanding and buffing to shine. Well, to my surprise this paint was a perfect match and I don't think I will be buffing it at all. I wanted to share where I bought the stuff in case someone else is needing paint. 66autoColor.com

This is my first time painting with clear coat so don't be afraid to try it. I laid down 2 base coats and 3 clear coats. I used 1 can of each and they were about $20 each. I am surprised on how nice it turned out so I'm doing the inner fairing next. No affiliation with the company, just sharing feedback of how nice of a color match they do. It looks like they can do any Harley color.

as long as you kept about 8 to 10 inches away and didn't try and rush it you can paint almost anything with a rattle can. I probably would have went one more coat of the color myself but in the end it does look good.

I had no idea how many coats of base to spray. The second coat had good/full coverage so I stopped. I was afraid of the metallic and pearl running. I think the key is the spraymax 2k Clear. I never expected it to be this nice with no cut and buff.

I'm like you and am not afraid of a rattle can now ane then. You did an excellent job. Better then my previous tries, and I think I did okay.

Good work man.

I had the same experience when I needed to match the Black Denim. ColorRite had a spot on *perfect* match in a rattle can and you cannot tell that the items I've painted aren't factory.
