Default Street 500 and 750

Looks like these models will be available in Switzerland next summer, not sure about the rest of Europe.

Provided they aren't strangled into gutless mopeds on the power and torque side due to the idiot emissions and noise laws here, they should do well.

Switzerland is a riders paradise for all kinds of bikes, and the swiss just LOVE their Harleys! An affordable entry level bike like the Street models is actually needed here due to the crazy high price tags on the 1200 sportsters and up.

i hope they do well all over the globe...maybe the moco will go full water-cooled on all their bikes. they might even be able to offer a bagger that makes good horsepower stock.

The 750 will be imported in France, that's for sure.

I don't know how other importers in the rest of Europe will act.

A 60 degree V twin? Just a downsized V-Rod engine? Had to do something to recoup the money spent on V-Rod development I guess, this from a happy owner of a 2002 V-Rod a 83 shovelhead and a Road Glide

Default Harley 500 750 styling

I have to say I really like the styling of the new Harley. It is one of the best looking bikes in the lineup, possibly because it's smaller size allows for more attractive proportions. Coincidentally it borrows heavily from the styling and design of the now 30 year old Honda VT 500. I suspect this may also may attract the attention of a few Triumph Bonneville and Scrambler customers. No one can ever accuse Harley of being an innovator in the motorcycle industry though Recreating classic old bikes with more modern technology and refinement seems to be their forte.

I just added Homeward Bound to my ignore list. Cleans the thread up for the most part.
