STOP !

Let's not have 900 threads on OLD news.

esp when these are not touring models

the real news is always in the Business section these bikes were announced earlier.

BTW the 2014 models are out!

900...901, whatever it takes.

It's only OLD news if you've heard about it before.

i give it about a month before someone slaps some bags on it and a big honking fairing and calls it a touring bike.

I am amazed at how many "can not" read and keep insisting that they will be made in India for the American market. Kansas City you idiots is not in India.

I thought I read that the parts were made in India and that it's "assembled" in KC. Is that the case? If it is, it's still too foreign for me.

With 8000+ posts, you apparently live on this board, and would find this old news. I however didn't.

No that's not the case. The bike will be manufactured in Kansas City just like the Sportster. The bikes made in India will be for the Indian and European markets.

Love my 07 Firebolt and smug that I have one! The reason Buell failed is that the 1125 models were made from almost entirely imported parts (to the USA), so the MoCo was very vulnerable to currency fluctuations. The engines, frames and many other parts are European, probably one reason they are popular over here. The ignition switch is identical to my 1993 MZ stroker, so I suspect the electrics and instruments are also European.

Quite right. That point has been made several times in this thread, but the lie won't lie down!
