Official New Harley Models 500 and 700 Thread

Due to the low weight and liquid cooled/4 valves per head engine, I bet the 750 Street will haul ***.
This would be a perfect bike for my wife to learn on...light & agile.
Now, for the next unveiling.....please release the new Road Glide with full water cooled engine.

I owned a vrod, if it runs anything like the vrod would a 750 beat the 103" air cooled. LOL. really though, i am dying to know specs, Horsepower, torque, motor specifics, is it high revving like the vrod, It would make a great commuter. Bad thing with the sportster this part of california it is labeled as a total chicks bike, i wouldn't be caught dead on one, i would rather have some jap bike commuter, but this is all new it could fly for some. It sure is not the new road glide i was hoping to see, WTF

So, the Indian-Harley is on the HD Websites today. Looks nice. Too small for me, but for the GF? Might be perfect. As for being made in India, I'd rather there than China. India has been making Royal Enfields for years, and doing a decent job of it. Regardless of where its made, though, it has the Moco name on it, so I expect it will be a good product.

This thread has been bandying about the pros and cons since Sept. The made in India thing and so on. It's just good to see that, at least according to the Bloomberg article, that the Kansas plant will be making the U.S. sold units.
I personally think it's a good move and I see some great potential for these models. Even though they're marketing them as "Urban" bikes. I bet you could tweak either variation and make them into some great canyon carvers and into nice cafe' bikes. Both of which helps open up the H-D demographic. That, in the long run, is a good thing.
Being able to compete with other manufacturers who sell lots of niche' models....the one thing H-D doesn't really do.
I think they look good overall and hope to see them do well.

Perfect for newer, smaller riders, or those on a tighter budget that would normally be drawn to Honda or other imports. Honda sells a ton of Shadows, why not not try to capture some of the smaller displacement market?
