Why were the Waldmans stopped in the middle of the highway? Not that it excuses the trooper..... the Good News is that, with the proper legal assistance, the Waldmans will NEVER have to work another day in their life...

They weren't stopped. If you watch the video you can see that they are moving along in the same direction as the trooper.
