Default Roland Sands Clarity Covers

I have three Roland Sands clarity covers installed on my 2013 Harley Softail Slim. Derby, Cam and Rocker Box. All installed by an authorized Harley Davidson dealership mechanic. Each one is cracked and leaking oil. Performance machine is unable to send me replacement parts on the Rocker Boxes because they don't have the parts. What does this say about the quality of Roland Sands and the warranty? Serious safety and customer service issue! Roland, I hope you are listening...

I'd guess over tightened fasteners. Not sure if the have a sleeve in the bolt holes to allow tightening without stressing the plastic or not?

They look like junk to me anyway. I like having as little plastic as I can on my HDs.

Yeah, "roland" is listening.. to his banker! Unfortunately, this is hardly the first QC issue with 'ol roland. I'd sell the stuff while it's still popular and move on to something else.

While that may be the case, I have NEVER seen any of the "Clarity" line without those stress cracks...Roland Sands will even send out replacement parts (if they have them I guess)...I like the look but wouldn't use them myself...

VegasHD. Wouldn't say installation issue. You don't play with those allen screws on install. They are just holding the clear plastic to the cover.

I've had problems with the Quality of RSD products big time but they are in threads started by myself and on a different subject but my point on your situation is ...... when you have work done on your bike you always check it for how it looks on the bike when finished and more importantly if there are any problems before your pay the dealer and ride away .... now all you've mentioned is that they fitted them! didn't you think to ask before you paid for the work what the cracks were all about? ... that way they can chase up RSD on faulty parts supplied if indeed they were or they can put their hands up because they F**ked your parts up .... did you pay the dealer? did you take the bike away? ... if yes to both WHY?
