never had a windshield and always ride with a half helmet. wouldn't want it any other way. nothing better than a little wind in your face.

It's called motorcycle, because riding it is supposed to be different from a car

I've got 3 full face helmets and 3 half helmets. Some how I feel kinda weird using the full face on my Harley so I always end up using the half helmets.

I have a couple of halfs.
Bought a 3/4 with face visor for daytime riding because I am dodging skin cancer and zinc oxide covered face looks funky at the destination.
I also wear long sleeve shirt. Just have to zinc up my wrists and hands that a way.

In my BMW days, I had a full face that I never wore because it was hot and heavy. I got a half and I actually wear it because it doesn't suck as much.

I usually ride without a windshield unless I'm gonna do a lot of highway miles. The bugs and sand only sting for a second. Rain on the other hand ....

I always wear a 1/2 or none, not an issue on my Limited, but I have a V-Star 1100 run around bike that I decided to strip down to solo and naked. It had been a few years since I'd ridden w/o a windshield, and those first couple of rides....I was thinking whoa! I have forgotten what this was like, I'm not sure I want to do this...I must be getting old! I was amazed how fast it felt normal, and now I really savor the feeling of being in the wind. Not to get sappy about it, but it kind of takes me back to simpler days. A simple, pure, ' connected' riding experience. Part of it is not being on a half ton behemoth with the OL on the back, but the wind is nice... it's true. Try and give it a chance.

dont like half helmets, they never seem to stay put on my head. usually no helmet or the FF in winter (really cold) or rain. Fat Bob, no windshield. I have a 3/4 helmet I bring along when I travel to helmet states.

I rode years without a lid and now, because I live in a state that requires helmets, I wear a half shell. I never had a windshield or wind screen, and it never bothered me....even on long rides. The only thing I changed recently is that I'll wear ear plugs a lot of the times I'm out. Just last weekend I rode over 700 miles from Charlotte to Elberton, GA to Savannah, and back home in 2 days, and a windshield or FF never crossed my mind. I love the wind in my face.
