I have a 2003 Road King Classic color Black with Leather bags. I want to put Hard bags on the bike but I cant find any used black bags from 2003. But I do find a lot of new bags that are "Vivid Black".
My Bike Paint job is original but in showroom condition. How would this look of i put new bags on my bike? Would vivid black look odd on 2003 black?
What is the actual black color of the 2003 Anniversary edition?

Black is black as far as I know. Denim Black is the non-gloss option so don't buy them.
As a side note I tried hard bags on my Classic and couldn't stand them. Too small and you lose the option of loosening the buckles to "overstuff" them in a pinch. Sold them cheap. Stretched might be better if you like touring without a tour pack.

Thanks Guy. Im actully interested in getting a trunk to do some weekend trips with my lady. However you can almost never find a used Good Condition leather trunk so I thought I could get a hard trunk and new hard bags for the same price or cheaper. HD wants 1500 for trunk with removal hardware.

Buy some with locks and several keys that work!

 

They are all vivid black.

 

Maybe this will help. On my sport bike i had the left and from fairings repainted because of a collision. Kid side swiped me. I notice the difference. Only because on the right side fairing its the original. If the paints don't meet I can't notice. But if they do it looks terrible. Although the candy plasma blue is hard to match up. Maybe try going to a dealer and finding a new bike with the same paint.
