Exclamation S&S releases a new flywheel design that is fully rebuildable for 1999-2013 twincams!!

Looks like S&S just released a new crank for 99-13 model twincams. Fully rebuildable and supposedly no need to weld the crank pin. This is what I woulda put in mine if it was available.

Cool. Glad S&S finally did it. I already run their gear drive in the cam. Harley should have built this crank like that to begin with and kept the timkens on both sides. One of the reasons I will not buy a new bike. I don't like their bearings, crank, and cam chains. Cost me a lot of money to make a stock HD what it should be and voids the warranty when new.

Yep what he said. If I ever buy a new bike it will be a EVO.

Sad but true. The trick is not to put more than 500 miles a year on your bike or trade it in every other year.

That S&S crankshaft along with timkens are on my list when things go south some day. I never thought I'd say it but I'm starting to think my 2009 Dyna has the best I can get or will ever get in a modern Harley, once I attend to the above. .don't care for the HD-LAN, ABS but I like the EFI.
