Default Harley 110th vs Sturgis – Which is bigger?

I just spent two days at the 110th and had a great time. Never been to Sturgis.
Those who have done both, which is bigger?

I have a friend who went to both and he said that 110th was a smaller version of Sturgis.

According to the Milwaukee papers, about 130,000 attended the 110th. According to what I read about Sturgis for 2013, about 500,000 attended.

I've been to both, and Sturgis is wwwaaaaayyyyy bigger and much more spread out, with better riding too. I am in NO way diminishing the 110th (I had a great time there), but Milwaukee is a populated city on the Lake with urban riding, so the riding is just different. Riding in the Badlands is just great.

Both are fun and I plan on doing each of them again.

Sturgis is on my list. I live in the Chicago Suburbs so I do a lot of urban riding but really prefer to head a little west and get on some nice back roads.

I've been to Sturgis five times. It was at least 500K this year, maybe more. I had no desire to go to the 110th because I am all about the motorcycle lifestyle, not just the Harley Davidson lifestyle.

I've been to most big rally's. There is nothing compared to Sturgis and Daytona Bike Week is equal in attendance and partying but riding around the black hills is great!

Try riding north of Milwaukee a few hundred miles and then you will see what the state has to offer as far as beautiful riding. Riding in the city is always meh....

Sturgis is a damn good time. It really can be whatever you want it to be.
Most of the medium rally's get 100k plus and are concentrated to a smaller area like ocean city/ delmarva. Sturgis half the state of SD. When we went I swear there was 100 k in keystone and deadwood. We are heading back in 2 years for the 75 because we had so much fun.
I am sure the 110 was also super fun but I would still do sturgis if I was you.

Sturgis has some the best riding around!!!the people watching is great!!! and if getting fall down drunk is your game!! you can do that too....I personal take advantage of a week off work for sturgis every year and ride the black hills as much as I can. the 2 are not even close to the same!!

I made the ride over to Milwaukee last min with a few good friends. This is alot diffrent then sturgis!!The Hd party down at the water was a HUGE rip off in my eyes and the rest my group felt same way about it!!98$ to get in and look at new bikes and hear a few bands!!Then pay 10$ for a hamburger!!!Yikes then another 41$ to see The headliners...BUT the good side is....Milwaukee Knows how to Party hands down great town to be out and about!!!The FREE concerts downtown where great, POD rock the place as for Puddle of Mud not showing... that was a disapointment!! Im guessing their another over payed rock band that **** and moans over spilt milk......Brady st is off the Hook!! We had a blast at all the dealers and seeing the bands and vendors and The Nightlife in Milwaukee is alive and well....we wil be there in 5 years just for the party not so much the HD event itself...
