Default I like riding alone...

So... normally I ride alone. The majority of my "biker" friends ride rice rockets and they have a different agenda when riding.

Daytona was not much different for me... We were all riding Harleys but we had different ideas on the point. From sun up till sun down all these guys wanted to do was drink. From bar to bar... It was okay the first couple of hours... but then it got old.

And a couple of the guys... Very erratic riding style. Could not decide what lane they wanted to be in, how fast the wanted to go, etc.... It got very annoying. Maybe its just that I am used to riding on my own... but that got REALLY annoying after a while.

I thought maybe it was because I was the "odd man out" as these guys all rode with my buddy before. But... apparently they all had the same beef.

Anyone else prefer riding alone?

I prefer riding alone as well. I feel safer, and don't have to wait for anyone else. I don't do bars either. What a waste. If I wanted to get drunk, I'd stay at home.

I like riding alone also as I get a little older. Have had my share of partying, bike stunts and crashes. I like serenity. Serenity is good for you.

Oh yeah, alone. I don't like when some J.O. pulls right next to me in my lane,1st off it's illegal here, and you never know what somebody's gonna do that close.Hit me is what I'm thinking. And yeah,I keep a 1 or 2 brewsky limit on 2 wheels.

I reckon riding alone and riding in a group both have a place , i enjoy riding alone and most of my riding i am solo , however when i can get together with a few pals i enjoy it just as much.
I agree though if all i wanted to do was drink i would stay home too.
Drinking and riding definatley dont mix !

Ride Safe

By far I enjoy riding alone the best. Stop when you want. Go the speed that you want. Turn left when you want, etc. etc.

I ride alone most of the time, my son is the only one I do normally ride with. We ride and think a lot alike so he's good to ride with. He rides an 06 1200 sportster custom.

I prefer riding solo, too. I've only riden with other bikes half a dozen times or so and it isn't asrelaxing and enjoyableto me. I spend most of the time worrying about the other riders in the group, keeping proper spacing, etc. I guess it's probably just my inexperience in doing it.

When I'm riding alone, I can stop when I want and go when and where I want.

I like riding alone. Gives me time to think and soak in surroundings. I have never been much into the bar scene, so I don't see any reason to start.

I like riding alone, when my brother and the other guys I ride with are not riding....we all know how to hold our line and use hand signals....those are the only guys that I will ride with.
