RE: I like riding alone...
most of my 15-20k a year are alone. I will not drink and drive my life is worth to much to me for that. I do have 2 friends that I will ride with once in awhile. But I will ride to Daytona or such alone and have a good time, I am good company to me.

I end up riding alone most of the time. I ride to work, then sneak out once the little rug rats are asleep. My wife sews alot when the kids go down so I take off. There are times I enjoy riding together. We have down some breakfast runs early on Sundays with about 10-12 bikes, but the roads are empty..

I also ride alone to take in the sights and get away from the stress of life: job, wife, kids, etc. I mostly ride on the north shore of Long Island and Ocean Parkway to Fire Island on the South shore. For 40 miles you are riding 200 yards off the Atlantic Ocean, about as good as it gets.

I enjoy every type of riding but at different times... sometimes I like to be with buddies.. sometimes with the girlfriend... but sometimes when I just want to be alone and think/relax... I love riding alone...

Got a strange work schedule and mostly ride alone on week days. Sometimes hook up with others for a week-end ride if not working. Glad I read this thread, I don't feelso much alone.

OH yeah, im a lone rider also, and I always get the "Hey how come ya didnt call me". When i bought my bike I envisioned peacefull solo riding, and thats what I do 90% of the time. Just me and the sunset..........

I too am a lone ranger. I prefer to get out by myself and use the ride to clear my head and forget about everything else for a little while.
