I like riding alone...

RE: I like riding alone...
If you look at my screen name, you'll see how I feel about going it alone. It's not that I refuse to ride in a group,it's just that Iprefer the freedom of making all of my own decisions when I'm on the bike. I get stiff andstop to stretch on my own schedule, I see photo ops where others don't,and I get hungry or thirsty whenthe rest of the group may be doing just fine (or vice versa). Besides all of that, I find it hard to pass a historical marker or old abandoned building when I'm in anew area andmy frequent stops can be annoying for someone thatdoesn't feel as I do about such 'attractions.'

99% alone for all of the reasons already stated. Plus I'm single and go on LOOOOONG runs. Alaska to Montana is hard to find a riding buddy.

I ride alone about 98% of the time. It's more relaxing to me . Plus most of the guys I know would rather ride 10 miles to the coffee shop or bar and talk about riding than actually ride

What about long rides? The 500+ miles would have been better with at least one other person I would think... But in-town... no other people for me.

I prefer to ride alone, but I also like to get together with a couple of buddys and cruise too. I rarley ride in a group of more than 4. A few years ago the wife and I went on a toy run along with about 500 other bikes. Although it was a good time, the whole time we were riding I was worried about the guy beside me running into me, or the guy 5 bikes in front of me going down and taking a bunch of us with him. Too much strees, seems like you cant just relax and ride like I like to do.
