If you pick the sportie you will only have a sportie. Hands down for the Softail. The pics say it all to me.

 

to me 93 is a little old I'd go with the sporster

I would buy the sportster with 3000 miles on it. Wait a second I would buy a nightster with zero miles on it.

My reason for getting the newer sporster is that you only have 6K. That means you probably don't have a bunch of cash to fix things that will break on the Softail. At 14 years old things are bound to go wrong.

 

Age and miles, go with the newer bike unless you like to tinker A LOT.

 

softail i would nt even consider a sporty unless it was a 750 , cafe racer or a 83 84 1000r now if i could i would also be looking for a FXR. that softail wont last long though. Dont get me wrong like sportsters but i would go FXR if that was the direction i was going.

One word: SOFTAIL

 

I owned an 883 and now a Heritage. If you planing on riding two up go for the softail.

 

I've had an FXR (1999 FXR3) and it was an AWESOME bike, but I have always wanted a Softail. To me...the Softail just always represented the "ultimate cool" factor.

The guy with the Softail called me back though and said someone has offered him $7,000 ($1000 more than his "asking price"), so he's telling me now that he doesn't want to take $6,000 for it like we already agreed to. Oh well...maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Looks like there might be a bad *** Sportster in my future though!! That thing is VERY clean, and I'll love riding it as well.
