2007 fuel injected road king will not run
I have my bike at the dealership getting repaired,I have been there three times to pick it up,all three times it will not run, they replaced the check valve 4 times already,it runs fine all day for them they let it sit until I come for it ,it starts then cuts out when you give it throttle, they also re[placed the fuel pump and regulator,Before I took it to the dealership I drove it on a ride,it ran good for about two hours until I stopped and shut it off,It ran like it was starving for fuel,I pulled the quick release off of the tank and pushed a screw driver up into it,it started running but bad,was enough to get home,as I got closer to home it started running a little better but not like it should, the dealership can't figure it out.I called Harley Headquarters and complained not sure if this would help.

I assume they also replaced the fuel filter and hose between the filter and pump? Replaced the check valve and hose 4 times?
Did they run a fuel pressure test on it? All it requires is a couple of adapters and gauge and you would think a dealership would have these tools? If it passes a pressure test then the problem lies elsewhere.

yes they ran a fuel pressure check, replaced the regulator, they said that the pressure was low then replaced the check valve then was ok,I think its a wiring issue with a ground to the pump, pump is new

Did they really replace the hose? Or just the pressure reg and pump?
That hose has been known to get pin holes causing a loss of pickup
when fuel levels drop. Runs fine at full to 3/4 then loss of pressure.

Where did you take it to the fkn circus? Sounds like you got clowns working on it to me. First its this and now its that.....do they have no trouble shooting skills at all?
What is the pressure at now?....im assuming that they checked it again after you tried picking it up last time.
Im not a prof. mech fer sure but i wouldnt think that it would be a ground as i would think that would give you mostly be either running good or not running with the exception of the small amount of time in between......cant imagine it running consistently bad. Sure doesnt hurt to check though since at this point your not sure.

I had a somewhat similar problem and it was caused by a pin hole leak in the fuel line between the fuel filter and the fuel pump. Hole was caused by vibration rubbing the hose because it was not properly routed following a fuel filter replacement. Bike ran fine but when I shut it off and let it sit for about ten minutes it would not restart. After thirty minutes or so it would start right up and run fine. Replacing that fuel line cured the problem.
