HI All,
Couldn't' find anything on this topic - so, wanted to ask if anyone's rented from an HD Dealer (ie. for a day/week)...going to be travelling to Memphis in a month, and wanted to do some touring...$150 a day seems a little too good to be true for a RoadGlide Ultra.

Any experience good/bad from anyone that's done this before ?

 

I'll tell you how a few dealers I'm famiar with handle things but can also promise not all dealers are top notch.

A good dealer takes care of they're rentals with grade a service. Last thing they want Is a customer stranded. A good dealer replaces and upgrades as needed

 

I've rented from dealers many times, never had an issue. Planning on renting one in November when I'm in AZ, hopefully it will be a 14 so I can check out the new upgrades.

 

I've got 2 friends that have done it. Within a year after renting, they both bought Harleys.

 

Cook. I have an HD, so this is a potential upgrade test ride, but also to ease the withdrawal of being away from my hd...for 2 weeks.

 

Rented from Las Vegas HD a couple years ago. Great people. I reserved an Ultra Classic in advance. Showed up and was out the door in about 15 minutes.

 

Make that three! I've rented from several different dealers on the mainland and in Hawaii. Never a problem. 150/day is about the going rate.

 

Just rented 2 for the 110th and service is great, unfortunately I couldn't be there because of work but my father is enjoying those rentals with his friend and riding it like he stole it. Quick service and the price is really good, bikes are 2013 and barely used.

 

I rented one from Vegas HD and toured all over Vegas, Hoover dam and Laughlin. Great way to get a feel for one. If your a novice rider get the insurance in case you have an oopsie.....$130 is a decent price, you can get a better price for a week long rental.

 

If I was on vacation, I'd be tempted to rent one. But the last full week I took for a vacation was '79.
