Default Fuel tank leak fix?

It looks like I have a fuel leak on my gas tank. It looks like it is where my tank adapter for the petcock adapter screws in. It is not fast, but a very slow leak. Is there a product I can use to fix this with out welding. I am looking to take the tank off and clean the paint just around it off. Turn the tank on its side while doing this and fix it with something. Maybe J.B.Weld or something would work?

Thanks.

I just found some stuff called Red Kote tank liner. Would that with something on the outside work?

Might be something as simple as an O ring.

Just put a new one in thinking the same. It seems to be right where the flat bttom part of the tank meets the threaded adapter part.
