Don't break down in Gillette, Wy

Ok, keep it clean. We don't allow profanity on HD Forums. That's one of the reasons I wanted to shut it down.

Just because a business is not accredited by the BBB doesn't mean a thing, lots of good companies refuse to pay their extortion. I now of a local business that had an excellent rating even though the owner was under indictment for consumer fraud, he was convicted.

That is too bad. I just had a great experience with an out of state dealer, while I was 1000 miles away from home. Treated me like a king at Maryville HD, in Maryville, TN.

Yes Sir. Useless like my EX.
Contacted them once, after i paid for extended Warr. when i bought a new stove. Then, when i needed it, i found out that they just kept the money instead of forwarding it to the Warr. Company. Found out rather quickly that BBB wasn't going to be any use to me, since I'm not a paying member and seen my Lawyer. He fixed it in a heart beat.

BBB and Dunn and Bradstreet fall into nothing more than a paid category that Yelp does for free.Calls to state attorney generals offices provide about the same results as flipping the dealers off as you drive by.
A buddy of mine sat down and read this thread and asked me why he should keep his 2012 wide glide .This was after we witnessed a few people on social clubs poker run.I truly had no answer for him.We then ran across a patriot guard rider on a ultra and his friend on a Bmw.These guys had rode out of co. and clear up and around the east coast. The r12 was a 2009 with 27000 miles the ultra had 6000.3 times in the shop for the ultra other than for oil changes. The bmw was nothing other than the routine service. They had a similiar experience with a harley dealer back east----------------ended up the BMW dealer had to actually fix the ultra. This issue goes far deeper than just Chucks rape policy. This is a black eye to Harley

I think there are many dealerships that have ethical business practices otherwise they wouldn't be in business. The problem with Chucky is that he is on route to a major annual event and has the ability to screw so many people. Perhaps next year the word will be out so that very few people stop at his stores and he reviews his policies or maybe ensures his service department practices business in an ethical manner.
