Don't break down in Gillette, Wy

Oh man, you got robbed by RUB mart! When I lived in WA and CA I would buzz right past that gaudy boutique of bull$hit! I was there with friends in 99 I believe and they had a long line of bikes under tents (this was during the Sturgis Rally week) and I was looking at the prices and told my compadres "Let's get the duck outta fodge!"
The whole dealership is a scam, that was the first and last time I ever stopped there and I see they're still a bunch of greedy a$$hats!
I recall even back then a tire change would be price of tire and $100 install! They didn't say nothin about needing two tires, wouldn't surprise me none if they hit you on the back side in such an instance.

[QUOTE=cotnballs;11720990]Why didn't you look up a local import/victory dealer and ask them if they would do the repair, if so tell them to send the tow truck over?

I do all of my tire changes at the Triumph dealer. $30 dollars for a mount and balance seems fair to me. HD needs to wake up!

HD of Maryland in Elkridge did this to me (They are now out of business... go figure). The mechanic there said it had to do with the anti lock braking system. He said the tread had to be the same front and back. I say as long as you do not change size I am pretty sure that line is BS....
SO GLAD we have Old Glory HD here....

My kid read this and just got off the phone with them-------he called and asked if they had any good used tires for sale. The receptionist kind of stuttered around and told him to hold on.Who ever picked up the phone slammed it down in his ear. When he tried to call back they must of had some caller id going on.LOL

Well, that tells ya somethin' ...they are pay'n a price. Still, its not a good way to treat a possible customer over the phone who asks a simple question.
