Someone should suggest anyone passing through shoplift there, plug the toilet, **** in the coffee, "accidently" tip something expensive over, or hide a tuna fish sandwich in the pocket of an expensive leather jacket on the rack.

But that would be mean, so I won't do that.
Oops. Crap.

If you charged it, file a dispute with the credit card company. At the very least it would tie the money up for a bit, and might possibly get you a partial refund. .
That's the line of action I'd take anyway

The same thing happed to me last year on the way to the Grand Canyon. Just out side of Custer. Rent a Truck, when I got there they pulled the same ****, they gave me a few numbers of other bike shops one was a pedal bike shop the owner worked on ATV and his on bike there sold me a tire and put it on for dirt cheap let me use his on car to take the truck and droped it off. when the wife and I left we gave him a 50.00 tip he ran us down and would not take it.

I'm glad this forum allows these sorts of posts. A lot of forums out there would just end this thread or delete it all together, but these are the sorts of stories that get (some) dealerships to straighten up.

I've never liked the HD dealers since they went to the "boutique" type shop, but this is ridiculous! I bought a tire repair kit as was suggested here,it's in my saddle bag, hope I never need it.

If the tires are a different size who cares if the treads the same. SOB's. Just once I would like to tell the dealer "Sorry but I cant pay you because I'll have to mix Jacksons, Grants and Benjimins. GFY.

I have to say....this blows me away. My wife is from Lander, WY. I've ridden my bike down there a bunch. Always been treated right. Had all my bike work done at the custom shop in Lander and later drank beer with the owner - his beer, and their work and treatment of me has been flawless.Been like that over most of WY for me. Sorry to hear of your troubles, and thanks for the heads up. Hope your wish comes true for the Service Manager........and it will. We get what we give.
