still surprised that there is not one comment since the OP's ordeal about anyone stopping by the crooks business and at the least, going there just to take a ****. You are telling me that there is not one member that lives in the Gillette area?

Amazing this thread is still going strong. After working at a local dealership for 9 years I have seen allot of **** like this. You would be amazed at some of the stuff the MOCO will cover if a dealership goes to bat for them along with the royal screwing you can get if they Don't give a ****.
It's sad that the true brothership thing has been gone for years at least since the MOCO reinvented itself in the early 90's by getting rid of the mom and pops. If you think they care about you, your drinking the cool aid.
I think if the new Indian dealerships can avoid this crap and they may actually take away a bit of Harley's riders, as long as they don't follow down the same path. It's just bullshit when you spend the price of a car on a new scoot and your are treated like crap.
I've been riding over 45 years, worked at dealerships off and on for awhile and am still amazed to have some pimple faced service writer tell me you can't run anything but official MOCO oil in your bike bike.
Funny how things have changed I remember spending all day sitting in a dealership shooting the **** and hanging out now I avoid them like the clap.

I think its a shame the moco hasn't even acknowledged this thread. If you read any other forums most have moco reps that chime in and try to help the customer... What a shame. Mike

I did send another email to Anne last week, trying to get some info on complaint. Just received this:
Harley-Davidson authorized dealerships are independently
owned and operated and may sell parts and accessories that
are not manufactured or approved by Harley-Davidson for use
on your motorcycle. Therefore, you should understand that
Harley-Davidson is not and cannot be responsible for the
quality, suitability, or safety of any non-Harley-Davidson part,
accessory or design modification, including labor, which may
be sold and/or installed by authorized Harley-Davidson dealerships.
Your complaint has been filed. I have no further action to take.
