I know I'm throwing a small monkey wrench in the best Flame the Dealer thread I've seen on any message board anywhere, but hey at least I'm bumping it.

From noted motorcycle rider and journalist, Felicia Morgan in this month's Thunder Press (which has a circulation of 250K).

"I've mentioned it during the regular service visits but my complaints fell on deaf ears. Not at Deluxe Harley Davidson of Gillette. Two different mechanics came out to ask diagnostic questions before it was determined that I had a bad lifter, while I waited, they replaced all four. The beast and I were back on the road to make another 130 miles by nightfall".

But if it makes everyone think they're actually doing something to drastically hurt the business .....Flame on.

Maybe we should just say we're all naïve journalists for a bike rag.
One bad lifter...replace all four.
Seeing a pattern here.

Warranty.

Even in a customer pay, most people would agree that if you need to go in to replace one, it would be prudent to do the other three while you're there. Wouldn't you agree?
