May G-d bless you both with a complete and speedy healing of body and spirit.

I know you're probably second guessing your actions, which is totally normal after a crash, but don't get yourself down. That A-hole and his distracted, recklessness caused this. You obviously handled it well since you both survived.

Stay strong and get well soon!

Thank you all so much. I don't come from a family of riders so I have had a lot of support but no one wants to talk about the bike. It helps a lot to hear from you folks!

Damn, sorry man, thoughts and prayers to you and your wife. Like others have said, and I'll echo, you guys are still here, that's ALL that really matters. Metal can be replaced, people can't. You did all that could be expected, but eventually the a$$hats will still catch up with us. Now, make sure the only thing that a$$hat has left are his shoes to get around in!

I'm in the same boat, cycle support-wise, and I work in medicine. I get chapped at all the "donor cycle" comments from mycoworkers and family. After my accident, I waited too long to get back on two wheels and it ended up making things worse when I finally replaced the bike years later . Wish you and your wife well in your physical, emotional and financial health!

WOWOW!!!
Here's to a speedy recovery.

When is enough going to be enough with these damn cell phones?

I guess it will take legislation to put in sensors in the phones or their networks that provide service to the users that when they are moving over a certain speed limit, like 10 mph that they cut off to the point of being inoperable.

At least 50% of the people I see or their passengers are on them, all the time.
I guess it is boring for the younger generation to be driven or drive themselves is the only thing I can think of?

Thank God you are still around to be posting. AssHats like the one on the cellphone are becoming all too common. May you both heal quickly.
