Apparently that fool gave you no warning, no time. Sometimes our skills & being alert cannot save us from disaster.

I hope you both get legal revenge & heal.

Glad you are both alive - I've taken care of dozens in the ER - Prayers for a speedy recovery. Sometimes, there's nothing you can do, it just happens too fast, no matter how good a defensive rider you are.

Sounds pretty rough but glad you both survived. Definitely get it into the police report and talk with a lawyer soon.
