Default Putting my Fatboy on a truck

Has anybody ever tried to haul a fatboy or similar weight bike on a small pick up truck?
I have a Chevy Colorado and I need to take my fatboy to the dealership for repair but I'm not sure if my truck will handle the weight of my bike. (I don't have a manual for my truck).
Has anybody used a Ford Ranger, Chevy S-10, etc, etc, to haul their bike?

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for your reply, My Colorado is in line 5 cylinder though, 220hp. Besides the dealership is only about 15 minutes from me and I'm planning on taking it slow..

Thanks though.

Your dealer does not provide free pickup and delivery? They should. The truck will handle the weight it is handling the weight up the ramp into and out of the truck that will be the big issue and the strength of the tailgate cables carrying half the bikes weight. Suggest you call Chevy about the tailgate cables.

Good Luck,

I hauled my Dyna 3 hrs in the back of my colorado,,,,,
I suggest putting down a sheet of plywood , because I made a small crease where my rear wheel sat on the tail gate...
for loading/unload.... I back up to a small hill tail gate high
alls good!

I can haul my Road King in my '94 Toyota. I put a board in front of the front wheel to keep from smashing the bed into the cab. I put a 2' x 2' piece of diamond plate under the rear wheel to keep from bending the tailgate.

The only place that I trust my Fatboy in is a "Phatgirl".

I put my fat boy on a truck once. Cost me a weekend in jail and community service.
