all depends on who is doing the work and willing to take it back.... Hell, a person out there might like it like it is and buy it already done.... All depends on the situation.
Some states consider the frame, when cut, as a trashed frame and its "totaled". So you could not trade it in at a dealership if they knew it was cut. With a bolt on, your fine.

inride my 26” everywhere. So far my farthest trip was 14 hours in one day along with 5 other guys all rolling 26’s and not one issue. You should be good rolling up to a 30” with a bolt on kit, after that it’s recommended to cut the frame. The naysayers are either clueless or know someone who had crappy work done.

IMO the big wheel trend is over...I don't believe any quality tire company makes tires for them...you have to buy those weird Chinese off-brands...in a few years you won't be able to get tires in those sizes at all ...
