Default Helmet communication

Quick question for anybody that may know. Do you know what kind of helmet mics the police use on the motorcycles?

I don't know but I will ask. My best friends brother is Chief of Police of a fairly large town with MC patrols. I will say that I have tried a few communication devices and have come to believe that the cardo scala boom and wired mikes work fantastic. Sometime I get a call from my 84 year old sick mother who has problems hearing and she can hear me fine at 75 MPH using a 3/4, modular or ff helmet. I have never tried one of those new half helmet units.

I've wanted a rider/passenger set up but I didn't want to spend that much money and hear wind noises. Hand signals can only go so far.

I was considering something like this also and had heard good things about the Sena SMH10R due to its performance and compact size. I am curious to see what others are using in this thread also.

Helmet mikes? Must not work for the NYPD! lol... There's a mike on the handle bars, crank the radio loud enough to hear it.
