I have LED lights that are used as brake only. I want them to work as running lights as well. Can I just wire a (key on) 12v into the current connection with a resistor? Is this safe? Also, what about running these wires together... will this constant current flow coming back to the brake side mess things up?

This sounds like it would do what I want, but I'm no wiring expert.

Are you talking about rear turn signals. If so it sounds to me like your best bet is probably to get harleys run/brake/turn module. It's supposed to be just plug and play and seems to me like the way to go for people like us who aren't wiring experts. I've been thinking about it myself but my brake light is a BAL-3ST so I'm not exactly lacking in the brake light department

 

No, I don't need turn signals. I have some hidden brake lights and I want them them to act as running lights as well. Basically on full time, just dimmer. Thanks. BTW, my friend has the BAL and it's the brightest tail lights I have ever seen.
