What's it called? Adjustable Cable
I am pretty sure this product exists but I can't think of what it would be called. I am looking for some sort of adjuster that you would put between two strands of wire cable. This thing would have some sort of threaded adjuster that would pull the cables together at a specified tension. Sort of like what the clutch cable adjuster does.
Does this thing exist? If so what's it called??? Thanks.

Do a search for Turnbuckle to see if that's what you are referring to.

You can get them at McMasterCarr, maybe home Depot.

The clutch cable adjuster only spreads the two casings apart, to take the slack out of the cable. The cable itself is just one piece...

Any decent marine supply store would have stainless steel turnbuckles in a variety of sizes.

Lowe's carries some too (in various sizes); just depends on what you intend to use it for.
