this turned out to be a great rally. It was my first time here and i have to say it was a great 3 days.
Day 1: Arrived around 3pm. Great ride from Portland Oregon, to Mt Hood National Forest to rolling hills of Eastern Oregon. Cruised around Camp enjoyed chatting with everyone. had plenty of BYOB hit up the river/creek good off. Rolled the cooler out to the main area watched Foghat amongst others. Mortor Fireworks through out the nite. event staff tracked down and bitched people out.
Day 2: thought i would sleep in but that ****ing roster [neighbors to event apparently had rosters] well **** you not its true 5am through 8am that dam bird would not shut the F-UP. So, since we had the wake up call we got our **** together and went to breakfast at Moly-B's which is a great place to eat. My wife and i cruised the local areas to check it out.
Got back hit up the River.... Well it was a nudist colony. the ratio could of been better but it was no big deal.
I posted a few pix but this was a great event.

I never made it to the previous location. However, I can tell you that they drive to Tygy Valley from Portland was 115miles of perfection. Vernonia would only have been like 40mile ride for me.
the temp range was crazy 100 degrees at the peek and 52 degrees over night.

We beat the heat by hanging out in the river. As long as you don't mind nude people both men and women. It was great.
Run 21 had a large number of clubs. Gypsy Jokers, Vagos, Outsiders, Free Souls, Road Brothers. etc. Everyone behaved and all the clubs members just looking for a good time like everyone else.
There was one assault, i didn't witness it but the Event Staff member got on the mic day two to lecture everyone how Run 21 will not put up with the BS, I do agree but i didn't know the reason for the *** kicking. Wife and I were up front by the gate so we watch the six police come in for the extraction of the suspect. And the removal of the victims bike, i assume went to the hospital or left the event. I have to say the Police were extremely respectful of the event. They did not look for anything other than what they were called for.
One fight for the number of people to me seems extremely minor to almost insignificant.
BTW the Wet T-Shirt contest was a highlight. Very good showing of 15 quality contestants. Even a Mother Daughter duo.
I almost forgot GnR tribute band was great. These guys absolutely loved GnR and even dressed up like the original band. This was a band from my HS years so i enjoyed them and they played very well.

I will have to give this year's event a "D"
Compared to the years in the past, this event was way more mellow, way hotter, a lot more uneventful in the area of participants. 90% of the attendees (roughly 3,500+) stayed at their tents, RVs from 10am until 8:30 pm just trying to stay out of the heat.
If you have ever gone in the past and went this year, you'll know what I am talking about. If it is held at Tygh Valley again, we may not go again.
Horribly disappointing compared with how it has been the 13 years prior.
